I wanted to add a section that showcases upcoming works and processes - some of which may not actually become pieces for sale. I realized when doing some projects that many of the techniques, tools, and processes I use are the same, and it might be interesting to see.
Further, some works (yes... in particular the art pieces) take an incredibly long time. Here, I'll share some progress as I go. Enjoy!
Here is a short-ish (6min) video of some steps in a typical machining project. Some shots are designed to give you an idea of how fast this goes in real time. This project was the creation of two brackets to match and replace a broken bracket that is no longer manufactured. The data collection (essentially making a print from the original bracket) took a full day. A lot of double- and triple-checking and cross checking all measurements and angles. The fabrication took one day per bracket. The initial saw cuts of the raw stock took over two hours. Just a glimpse into what goes into a manual, 1-person work flow.
