I make all kinds of metal art and sculpture. Some pieces are 100% made from metal, including a combination of types of metals. Others incorporate other materials (wood, glass, etc.).
While I enjoy all types of metalwork, I am passionate about creating pieces that are 1) kinetic and 2) evoke some type of emotion - the stronger the better.
I like large, scary, spinning or moving pieces, possibly with fire...
As of March 2025, I anticipate I will be able to accept commission work throughout the 2025 calendar year. Please contact me if you are interested in custom commission work - I have a template I can share that outlines the process, payment structure, timelines and shipping / delivery. All commissions are unique, so this is best done person-2-person (vs. generic web form).
I am capable (and very much enjoy) all metalworking skills. And if I get to learn something new or get better in the making of a new piece, all the better.
I employ TIG, MIG, stick, and OA welding. I use plasma and OA cutting. I have a full machine shop with a lathe, knee mill, surface grinder and metrology tools - I can do very precise and fine work.
I am in the process of experimenting with new (to me) metal finishing techniques that would result in more of a "stained" type finish vs. the type achieved via paint or powder coating.
Some of my pieces are rather large (Octessence is over 6' tall and 5' wide, weighing in somewhere between 50-60 pounds), and intricate. In such cases I will gladly deliver and install the piece. Obviously this would require coordination with the buyer.
Large commissioned pieces for specific places on property will require some pre-work, including a visit to collect measurements, photos, are details, etc. Coordination and scheduling, especially if out of state / remote, will be required and will take some time. All of these steps are outlined in my commission template, and will be reviewed in detail with the buyer - each piece, person, and circumstance is unique.
Smaller / ship-able pieces are hand-packed (by me) with the utmost consideration and care. I ship using the usual suspects of USPS, FedEx, and UPS. Feel free to contact me if there is a specific carrier you wish to use (I understand....). All shipping is paid by the purchaser.
Items are usually shipped 1-2 days after the order and payment is received. There is no warehouse or automation.
I am proud of every piece I make and I stand behind it, forever. However, large and custom pieces cannot simply be returned and restocked for future purchases. My policy is that I do not accept returns nor offer refunds on my pieces, but will always provide support for anything you purchase from me.
